This Step and Go Travel System is GORGEOUS. The colors are so simple and trendy. I love it.
Let’s start with the seat. The onboard 35 has a weight limit of 4-35lbs. In order to properly fit a baby, the harness straps must come from at or below a baby’s shoulders, and because of this, a lot of smaller babies don’t fit properly in a lot of infant seats. That is not the case with this seat! I, unfortunately, do not have a teeny tiny infant to test out in this seat, but I have a good friend who does! Any opportunity for me to play with newborns and car seats makes for a good day for me!
This is Miss Adelyn, isn’t she the sweetest? I mean by this point she was totally over me gushing and squealing over how tiny and adorable she is, and it shows, but she was a trooper! She was a few weeks early and is smaller than any of my kids were the day they were born. At the time I put her in the seat she weighed just over 7 lbs. Which is pretty average size of a newborn, no? I looked at the size of her and immediately lowered the harness straps down to the lowest level. I was wrong. Even with as tiny as she was, the harness straps still were below her shoulders at the second slot, so this seat will absolutely fit a 4lb baby correctly.
This is my baby, Penelope, she will be 2 in 3 months. She is at the very max for height. Her head is an inch from the top of the shell, and she is exactly 32 inches, weight wise she is at least 10 lbs from the max weight, so even if you have a chunky baby, this seat will still last a while.
The seat attaches to the stroller and between the 2 canopies, your baby will be protected from the sun, wind, snow, rain, whatever the weather. The canopy of the stroller even has a little window that you can look through to peek on your little one.
This stroller pushes like a dream and is now my go to when I take this sweet face for a walk. It stands when it’s folded, which is AWESOME. I don’t have to lean it up against anything! It also has a pedal you step on to open it and all you do is pull up on a strap in the middle of the seat to close it! Easy no hands open and 1 hand close! Just what every parent likes to hear!
